Who is behind Entwin-ed?
Entwin-ed is a collaborative initiative founded by Marta Ferrer and Paul-Johan Seim. Marta Ferrer oversees the project in its entirety, designing activities and providing weekly guidance to students. She holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from Columbia University, as well as a Master’s degree in Visual and Material Cultures from the University of Edinburgh. Her academic research delves into the intersection of art, science, and culture, a framework that continues to inform her approach to teaching and the development of innovative learning experiences. During her doctoral tenure at Columbia University, Marta taught Spanish Language through a cultural lens and facilitated workshops for language educators as a Lead Teaching Fellow at the Center for Teaching and Learning. She currently teaches English as a Foreign Language while frequently traveling between New York and Madrid for professional commitments. Marta adheres to the philosophy that language learning is inherently interdisciplinary, thriving at the junction of art, culture, and personal experience. This belief served as the foundation for Entwin-ed: an educational program that bridges students in New York and Madrid, fostering learning through creativity, introspection, and collaboration. Paul-Johan Seim serves as the marketing manager of the initiative. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy from the University of Edinburgh. His professional expertise encompasses collaboration with diverse clients and interdisciplinary organizations on a global scale.
