Entwin-ed was born out of a deep interest in connecting language learning with the arts.
As a Teaching Fellow at Columbia University, I taught Spanish through interdisciplinary content. It was there that I began to see the value of learning through the arts. I took my students beyond the classroom—to spaces like the Metropolitan Museum of Art and other cultural institutions in New York—where they could create, reflect, and think critically in Spanish.
Alongside my teaching, I developed this interest further through my research. My dissertation explored the relationship between the arts and the sciences in the nineteenth century, focusing on how scientific ideas were deeply connected to narrative forms, particularly theatre and visual culture. After completing my dissertation and leading teaching workshops at Columbia, I decided to continue my work in education as an English high school teacher in Spain. At the same time, I have remained closely involved in curriculum design and teaching innovation.
Working with my students in interdisciplinary ways—combining language, creativity, and critical thinking—has been one of the most inspiring parts of my teaching practice. Entwin-ed is an invitation to learn languages differently—through connection, creativity, and shared experiences across cities.
